ParCo2011
Bids for Hosting ParCo2011 are Invited
The international Parallel Computing conference (ParCo) is the longest running conference series that covers all aspects of parallel and high-speed computing in Europe. Based on its Estimated Impact of Conference (EIC) value published in April 2009 ParCo was ranked 29th out of 421 conferences considered. This is particularly high for an independent conference not associated with any large scientific/engineering society. See http://www.cs-conference-ranking.org/conferencerankings/topicsiii.html. Weights used to determine the EIC are outlined on http://www.cs-conference-ranking.org/home.html.
The conference is run bi-annually; the next conference will be held in 2011.
Although ParCo has in the past always been offered in Europe, it is not limited to this geographic area. Applications from any interested parties in the world will be considered.
Important factors to be considered are:
- The organisation team (research interest in parallel computing, experience in organising conferences)
-
Local infrastructure (availability of conference facilities, hotel accommodation and international travel connections)
-
Local cost factors (such as rent for conference facilities, neabr airport serving low budget airlines)..
Deadline: 31 July 2009
