|HOW TO REACH THE CONFERENCE CENTER|
The closest airport is Brussels (Zaventem). The train takes approximately one hour from Zaventem to Gent. There is a train every half hour from the airport to Brussels Central Station where there is train leaving for Gent, 6 minutes later. The fare is BEF 355 first class, BEF 235 second class.
Alternatives are to fly to Amsterdam, Antwerp of Paris and to commute by train or rented car to Gent.
There is regular commuter train between Ghent and Brussel every 30 minutes, travel time is 30 minutes. The conference center is located at walking distance from the central railway station 'Gent St.-Pieters'.
From the highways E17 (Antwerp-Lille) or E40 (Ostend-Brussels), follow the direction `Gent Centrum'. Then take the exit `Andere Richtingen'. At the traffic lights under the highway bridge, turn left and continue 500 m to the second traffic lights. Then follow the road into the park. The conference center is located in the park as is indicated by the signpost `Congres Centrum'. There is a parking under the conference center.

The conference center building is situated in a greenish area called the citadelpark. The park contains music kiosk, arboretum and botanical garden. A picture of the main building is shown below.
